What are your rental
requirements?

Minimum 25 years of age, valid motorcycle endorsement (no permits),
heavyweight motorcycle experience, a $2000 deposit.

Are
reservations required?
|
No, you can rent a
Harley-Davidson on any given day based on availability without notice.
However, despite a large selection, weekends and holidays generally
book out in advance. We encourage customers to call ahead and reserve
their rental with a prepaid reservation as far in advance as possible
according to your plans.

Is the
LDW (Loss Damage Waiver) insurance?
|
No, it is a $30/day optional
waiver that limits the renter’s liability for the theft or damage of
the motorcycle to a $2,000 deductible. Any damage or loss comes from
that deposit first.

Will my
current motorcycle insurance cover the rental?
|
Many insurance companies do not
insure rental motorcycles for theft or damage. We suggest you call your
agent and ask what they will cover if anything. It is your
responsibility to know what coverages you have/need or feel comfortable
with. We offer coverage at resonable rates if you are at all unsure.

How does
the security deposit work?
|
When the rental is picked up a
$2,000 credit card authorization is required for a security deposit.
Upon return of the rental motorcycle the
security deposit is released (If there is no damage to the bike). The
time it takes to restore that deposit is determined by your bank and is
often between 48 to 72 hours (business hours).

Is my
credit card charged for the security deposit?
|
No, we simply get an
authorization only for the amount of the security deposit. It's like
taking the amount from your credit limit
|
What if
my credit card limit won’t authorize for the deposit?
|
More than one credit card can be
used in combination with cash or cashiers check to reach the security
deposit amount. Upon return and clearance for condition, authorization
on credit cards is released and cash is refunded. Sorry, personal
checks ARE NOT ACCEPTED for security deposit

What
happens if the bike I reserved isn't available?
|
We make every effort to
accommodate you with another model of the same type or whatever is
available. We can not control availability by infringing on another
reservation and can only offer a refund of your deposit (if any) if
there is no other option. Return of your deposit represents the total
liability of Destination Harley-Davidson when it comes to fulfilling a
reservation.

Can I get
a refund if the weather is bad?
|
With unlimited mileage, we hope
you can seek weather more to your liking, but no; there will be no
refunds due to bad weather.
|
If I pick
a bike up at closing Friday and return it Sunday Morning - isn't that
considered One Day?
|
Rental charges are based on a
24hr period. Extra time cost extra money as each bike has to be cleaned
between rentals.

If a motorcycle is returned
damaged, regardless of how minor, the security deposit will not be
refunded until such time that all repair costs are known.
